According to the Concrete Cutting Safety Procedure, Section 3.1, employees cutting concrete must use the following protection:
Eye and face: Safety goggles and a face shield.
Hearing: Suitable hearing protection.
Hands and feet: Task-appropriate gloves and protective safety boots.
Respiratory: Fit-tested FFP3 protection where specified by the risk assessment.
Control silica dust with suitable water suppression or dust extraction. Use the correct blade and fitted guards, and follow the approved method statement. Obtain required PPE from your site supervisor.
